EDIT: If you are here for the Killer Joe photos, just scroll down a bit.
Long ago, in a distant land . . .
As I sit, editing photos late into the night, I find that I must mention Samurai Jack, which is keeping me company at the moment.
Holy balls.
Genndy Tartakovsky, the creator of this goddamn masterpiece of animation, is a genius. If a director, filming style, or piece of mythology has existed, Genndy has, at some point, probably fused it into his narrative. Before the creation of Jack's universe, Odin, Ra, and Vishnu joined forces in an attempt to destroy Aku, Jack's nemesis. Yes, you heard me. Odin, Vishnu, and Ra fought together. Since then, Jack has fought with 300 Spartans, quested through a sunken city, fought his foes atop a moving train, and piloted a massive mechanical robot.
Advertised as a simple cartoon, Jack is anything but, with the animators barely getting away with the amount of violence that they do. Oh, an episode calls for Jack killing 200 soldiers? Make them robots. Done.
Shit! 3:03 AM! A few more uploads, and bed.
Goodnight (morning?) dear reader(s?).
I remember that show... tempted to watch it but... can't. Not yet. I have things to do...
