Like a beast thrashing about in it's final moments, Killer Joe has struck me with it's grat, clawed paw and inflicted a week of work on me.
I attended the load-in meeting, which is when all of the different departments that have a hand in creating the show meet and divide up the next week. This ensures that everyone has time to build, pain, light, dress and adjust the sound for the set. I tried, briefly, to write in my own calendar when I would be in to assist the departments that need me, but quickly realized that all this amounted to was my coming in whenever I am not in class for the next week.
On the bright side, I've been chosen as the properties master for three shows next semester, two one-acts and an opera in The Festival.
I have no choice but to kick ass.
