Apologies for the lack of updating despite my promise for daily posts. I've been an awful blogger.

But I've been busy seeing friends, getting hilariously drunk, playing capture the flag, visiting my Grandmother, having my grandmother buy me two(!) pairs of new Converse, finishing reading Mutiny on the Bounty, being almost finished reading A Passage to India, eating the best Mongolian beef I've ever tasted, and hitting up White Castle.

To elaborate:

Sometimes I feel like I'm stuck in the episode of Doug wherein some soap opera star wears Doug's exact outfit on a show, and soon everyone is parodying Doug's style, even though he'd worn the same thing sine he was first illustrated. Only instead of a whole outfit, I have Converse. I've been wearing Converse since I was a little one, yet recently, as Wikipedia puts it, "The Converse Chuck Taylor All-Star . . . has enjoyed recent popularity thanks to a resurgence of old school trends." But these trends are circles, right? Hopefully we'll be on the other side soon.

A Passage to India is a beautiful book. What strikes me most about Forester's writing is it's simplicity in beauty. Saving the first chapter, Forester is not disposed to fly off on grand descriptions of character or surrounding, instead compressing those moments into little pieces of bite sized beauty which perfectly encapsulate whatever happens to be occurring at that moment. I highly recommend it.

I've been lax on photos, I know, so here is something from my 4chan folder.
