And what a new year it was! I spent it at the home of some close childhood friends, and it was probably the most fun I've ever had on a new year. I met a slew of new friends, drank more Jager than I should have, and blathered on about how much of a bitch existence is, and loudly decried religious belief. I've learned that my 'type' as a drunk is whatever mindset I am in when I begin drinking. The last time I drank before new year's was during a game of Company of Heroes, which I then focused on to the exclusion of all other things for many, many hours. On the train ride out, I had been lost in thought, specifically of a philosophical nature, and lo and behold, once I started drinking I started (poorly) pontificating. Drunks are difficult to keep focused.
I miss Warhammer. I've visited the store a few times, and may pick up a new Empire General. I truly and completely enjoy myself when playing tabletop games, and not having time for them is hurting. Once this summer arrives, I plan on cranking out the few units left to paint and throwing myself back into the hobby. I wonder if I can top my old record at the store?
