Well, it looks as though my mother was right after all. If one sleeps too much, they can be unable to sleep for a night. It is currently 8:06 A.M., and I am wide awake. I tried to clock out of consciousness at around 5:00, when I thought I was feeling tired, but no dice. I suppose considering the fact that I've slept until 4:30 P.M. the past two days due to a lack of school, this should not surprise me. But damn. I never thought I would run out of sleep.
So I took the time to start packing. Soon, I'll be on my way home for almost a month. I'll be coming home a little more than a week early to volunteer for Theatre Fest, much to the chagrin of my mother.
Went to a party tonight with my old roommate from the dorms, who is an excellent, excellent human being. Until you've drunkenly stumbled down The University of Illinois' Green Street (street o' bars) with a Music Composition major, a Linguistics major, an Aerospace Engineer and what I faintly remember to be a Neroscience major, you have not lived.
Before our romp, (which ended at Ihop, surprise surprise) we were at my old roommate's apartment talking about our areas of concentration. Someone mentioned that they were (if I recall correctly, I had been drinking a bit of wine) a Linguistics major, and were thinking about taking in independent study in Neroscience. I immidiately harkened back to a conversation that had taken place days prior:
Me (Scenic Design major): Scott, I think I might take an independant study.
Scott (Technical Director major): In what?
Me: Foam carving.
Ah, the arts.
CHAGRIN? You are a thief that needs to be sent away.
