I has a blog.
One would have forgotten, eh?
So I'm still at Heritage, and still having an excellent summer. The Sound of Music has come and gone, to rave reviews. I was not a very big fan, but apparently the local reviewer did, which is why we kept selling out, which has made out artistic director a very, very happy man.
Now we're on to The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, which I had the pleasure of seeing in tech the other night. It should be quite funny, and will deserve to sell out as many nights as it can.
Otherwise, I've been busy building a Tau army, playing mass amounts of Dawn of War, and eating on a budget.
Then, a week and a half from now, I'll be back in Chicago, starting school, which is pretty surreal. That I won't be returning to Urbana and living with Pete, Devin and Luke is just starting to sink in. Don't get me wrong; I fucking love my parents, and feel none of the stigma usually associated with the phrase "moving back in with my folks." But to realize that I've well and truly left a major part of my life behind, with only the unknown ahead of me, is daunting.
As the date of my departure from Virginia approaches, I expect that dread to be replaced with an general enthusiasm for all things, as it tends to be.
Time will tell.
